Gail Newel, MD

Gail Newel, MD, obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Cellular Biology from UC Berkeley in 1982. She attended medical school at UC Irvine, where she graduated in 1986. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCSF-University Medical Center in 1990. She also holds a Masters in Public Health degree from UC Berkeley. She was in private practice in Fresno from 1990 to 1992, and then on staff at Kaiser Fresno until 1998, when she co-founded Fresno Women’s Medical Group.
Dr. Newel is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She serves on the State of California’s Office of Women’s Health Advisory Council as well as the United States Breastfeeding Committee.
