Gail Newel, MD

Gail Newel, MD, obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Cellular Biology from UC Berkeley in 1982. She attended medical school at UC Irvine, where she graduated in 1986. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCSF-University Medical Center in 1990. She also holds a Masters in Public Health degree from UC Berkeley. She was in private practice in Fresno from 1990 to 1992, and then on staff at Kaiser Fresno until 1998, when she co-founded Fresno Women’s Medical Group.

Dr. Newel is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She serves on the State of California’s Office of Women’s Health Advisory Council as well as the United States Breastfeeding Committee.

Kelli Beingesser, MD

Kelli Beingesser, MD received a BA in Biology and Chemistry from Claremont McKenna College in 1983, and an MA in Biochemistry from UC Santa Barbara in 1985. She attended George Washington University School of Medicine, Graduating in 1989. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCSF- University Medical Center in 1994, where she received awards for Outstanding Resident Teacher and Resident of the Year. Since she finished her residency, she has continued on the faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UMC, and has received several teaching awards. Dr. Beingesser is a co-founder of Fresno Women’s Medical Group. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Marci Dabbs, MD

Marci Dabbs, MD received a B.A. in Spanish from Dartmouth College in 1985, and obtained a post-bacculaureate degree in Biology from Talladega College in 1987. After teaching high school Spanish and English from 1987-1988, she attended the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, graduating in 1992. After an internship in Denver, Colorado, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCSF-University Medical Center in 1997. Dr. Dabbs proudly served for 4 years in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Major, from 1997-2001. She was stationed just outside Washington DC, and in addition to practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology, she served as an Assistant Professor for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Dabbs was on staff at Kaiser Permanente, Fresno from 2001-2005. She began private practice in 2006, and joined Fresno Women’s Medical Group in 2007. Dr. Dabbs continues her love of teaching by lecturing annually to graduate students at Fresno State University. Dr. Dabbs is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Patricia K. Felton, MD

Patricia K. Felton, MD received her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1969 and worked four years in laboratory medicine. She then entered Medical School at the University of Michigan and graduated with her MD degree in 1977. Her internship and residency program at the University of Minnesota Hospital was completed in 1981. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Felton has been in private practice in Minneapolis and also has served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Minnesota since 1991. In addition, Dr. Felton has worked part time at General Mills World Headquarters, developing a women’s health program for employees since 1998. Her interests are urogynecology, menopause, sexual health, and prevention of domestic violence. She served on the Board of Directors of Cornerstone in Minneapolis, a nonprofit organization devoted to prevention of domestic violence for adults and children.

Sharon Kopacz, MD

Sharon Kopacz, MD grew up in Fresno and moved back to her hometown in 2008 to join Fresno Women’s Medical Group. Dr. Kopacz received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC Berkeley in 1994. After moving to Europe, she attended medical school at her father’s Alma Mater, Jagiellonian University in beautiful Krakow, Poland, graduating in 2002.

Dr. Kopacz began residency in Queens, New York at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where she received the best resident teacher award. She completed her residency in New Brunswick, New Jersey at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in 2008. Dr. Kopacz is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Robin Linscheid, MD

Born and raised in Fresno, CA, Robin Linscheid graduated from Roosevelt High School of the Arts. Dr. Linscheid earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Natural Sciences in 2000 from Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas. She attended medical school at the University of Kansas and graduated in 2005. While in medical school, Dr. Linscheid co-founded a student run free clinic, Jay Doc Community Clinic. Further ambition led Dr. Linscheid to volunteer at hospitals in Paraguay for a year. After completing her residency in Family Medicine at Ventura County Medical Center in 2008, where she was chief resident, Dr. Linscheid moved back to Fresno. Dr. Linscheid worked at United Health Centers in Parlier until joining Fresno Women’s Medical Group. She is board certified in Family Medicine and has a special interest in women’s health, obstetrics, and pediatric care.

Preeti J. Srivatsa, MD, FACOG

Dr. Srivatsa completed her medical school in India, graduating valedictorian of her class from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. She completed a transitional year in General Surgery, following which she completed her residency in OB/GYN at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where she received the “outstanding resident in clinical medicine and research” award, and also served as chief resident. Dr. Srivatsa has performed research and published several articles in the fields of gynecologic on- cology and obstetrics. Her current interests include vaginal surgery, laparoscopy, high risk obstetrics, and general OB/GYN. She has made her home in Fresno, and is the mother of two teenage sons and two overgrown dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys crochet, cooking, reading, yoga and travel. She devotes time whenever pos- sible to charitable service to the poor and underserved in India.

Nazzi Mojibi, MD

Nazzi Mojibi, MD received her B.S. in Biochemistry from UCLA in 1994. She went on to receive her MD from George Washington University School of Medicine in 1998. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. in 2001 and stayed on as general pediatric faculty in the Children’s ER the following year. From 2002-2003, she was assistant clinical professor at the University of Vermont Pediatric Residency Department. Most recently, Dr. Mojibi served as a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at the UCSF-Fresno Residency Program where in addition to resident supervision, she was involved in asthma education research.

Judi Krogstad, MD

Judi Krogstad, MD received her BA in Biology from Loma Linda University in 1985 and her MD from the same institution in 1990. She graduated from the UCSF-San Joaquin Medical Education residency in Pediatrics in 1993, and is board-certified in Pediatrics. Her professional career in Pediatrics has included private practice and pediatric urgent care. She was on the faculty of the UCSF-San Joaquin Medical Education Program for 7 years. In 2000, Dr. Krogstad decided to broaden her scope of practice to include Medical Acupuncture. She studied acupuncture at UCLA and has practiced it in this area since 2003.
