Brittany Mbong, CNM, WHNP

Brittany Mbong, CNM, WHNP is a certified nurse-midwife who provides comprehensive
women’s health care, including gynecological services and prenatal, birth, and postpartum care.
She earned her nurse-midwifery degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 2018
and is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
Brittany’s passion for maternal and community health began during her time as a Rotary
Ambassadorial Scholar in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she witnessed her first childbirths. That
experience set her on the path to midwifery and inspired her to explore more inclusive care
practices. Her master’s thesis, “What about the men? Perinatal experiences of men of color...”
was published in BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth, reflecting her commitment to amplifying
underrepresented voices in maternal health.
With more than 15 years of experience serving families in the Central Valley, Brittany has
worked as a bilingual health educator, birth doula, nonprofit coordinator, qualitative researcher,
and midwife. She has served as a voting board member of the California Nurse-Midwives
Association and currently works at the B.L.A.C.K. Wellness & Prosperity Center in Fresno to
advance health equity and build infrastructure to improve birth outcomes.
